The Team
The DNAVision team is made up of engineers, pharmacists, medical doctors, PhD scientists and laboratory technicians. Our scientists have experience in molecular biology and medicine and we are all familiar with the quality systems implemented in pharmaceutical companies. Our scientists, Financial Officer, Human Resources, Quality and Business Development Managers and our Scientific Advisors make up the Management Team of DNAVision.
We provide access to a network of scientific expertise via our scientific board, shareholders and partners. An important member of this network is the Université Libre de Bruxelles (ULB) specialised in molecular biology and medicine and the Université de Liège (ULG) specialised in microbiology and veterinarian studies.

Management Team
Dr Laurent Alexandre, President
Laurent Alexandre is an M.D., a urologist with many additional qualifications including in pharmaco-economics. He has a Master's in Pharmacology, an MBA in Economics and is graduate from ENA (the National School of Administration) in France.
Laurent is a serial entrepreneur, founder of two French public companies (Medcost and Doctissimo) and an opinion leader in the health sector. He is well known for his visionary ideas on the genetic destiny of mankind.
Mr Jean-Pol Detiffe, Chief Executive Officer
Jean-Pol is an industrial pharmacist (Qualified Person) with an additional qualification of MBA.
Before founding DNAVision, he held various posts in the pharmaceutical industry and is therefore well versed in the relevant quality standards (GLP, ISO17025,etc.). He is in charge of business strategy and setting up industrial partnerships.
Mr Guy Helin, Chief Financial Officer
Guy is a commercial engineer working for different institutions and companies like Biovallee, the Tivoli Hospital andDelphi Genetics. He helps the board with strategic and financial decisions.
Mr Dimitri Lhoste, Human Ressources Manager
Dr Patrice Godard, Bioinformatics Manager
Patrice Godard has a PhD in Molecular Biology from ULB. He is in charge of setting up efficient statistical tools and softwares for the analysis of high-throughput data.
Dimitri is an economist with wide experience in spin-off management. He is responsible for the day-to-day management of the administration and human resources of the company.
Ms Micheline Defreyne, Quality Assurance Manager
Micheline is a bioengineer who held various posts in different pharmaceutical companies before joining DNAVision. She coordinates the development and implementation of the Quality System integrating ISO 17025, GLP, GMP and all other applicable requirements related to DNA and RNA analysis. The DNAVision laboratory quality policy aims to assure the quality of assay results sent to the customer and to comply with official and customer quality requirements.
Dr Jean-François Laes, R&D - Tech Support Manager
Jean-François, with a PhD in molecular biology from ULB, is in charge of planning the research and development of new services in the research laboratory. He is one of the scientific representatives of the company
Dr. Sebastien Massart, Business Development Manager
Sebastien is a bio-engineer with a PhD in Molecular Microbiology and an additional qualification of MBA. He is in charge of all aspects of Business Development, e.g. customer relationship management, identification of potential partners, contract negotiation.
Mr Michäel Herman, Business Development Manager
Michäel is a biologist with a M.Sc. degree in Molecular Biology from the University of Namur (FUNDP).His career has included research (URBC-FUNDP, Lambdatech) and commercial (Pfizer, Eurogentec, Unibioscreen) positions. He is in charge of all aspects of Business Development, e.g. customer relationship management, identification of potential partners, contract negotiation.
Ms Marie Dehem, Business Development Manager
Marie is a bio-engineer with a PhD. She is in charge of all aspects of Business Development, e.g. customer relationship management, identification of potential partners, contract negotiation.
Mr Daniel Bartholemy, Business Development Manager
Daniel is a biologist. He is in charge of all aspects of Business Development, e.g. customer relationship management, identification of potential partners, contract negotiation.
Dr. Christina Franssen, Project Manager
Christina is a molecular biologist with a PhD in Molecular Microbiology from the University of Liège. As Project Leader, she is responsible for the day-to-day running of the laboratory (management of analysts, results, etc.).
Dr Roser Sens Espel, Project Manager
Roser has a first degree in Animal Biology and a postgraduate in phytopharmacy (specialization in molecular biology). She is responsible for the day-to-day running of the laboratory (management of analysts, results, etc.).
Dr Tong Zhang, Project Manager
Tong is a chemist with a PhD in Molecular Biology. She is responsible for the day-to-day running of the laboratory (management of analysts, results, etc.).
