Quantitative PCR
The quantification of DNA and RNA is performed by quantitative PCR using fluorescence detection of the amplification products.
This technique is used in a wide range of applications in the context of the genetic characterization of biopharmaceuticals:
- qPCR:
- Plasmid copy number
- Residual DNA testing
- Micro-organism contamination
- RT-QPCR:
- Detection of the expression of a recombinant construction
- Identification of phenotypic differentiation markers
